The collected energy using to power any electrical appliances or lighting of premises. The SolarGaps solution helps to reduce the electricity bill by 30-40%.
The use of solar energy instead of traditional fossil fuel also reduces greenhouse gas emissions levels. In this way, 1 m2 of solar blinds can prevent 110 kg of CO2 emission per annum. Emissions can be reduced even further by saving more energy through shading the premises.
The Climate Innovation Voucher helped develop a B2C version of the blinds and certified the European market product.
