The Ukrainian company SolarGaps has developed blinds with solar panels that collect solar energy.

The collected energy can be used to power any appliances in the house. This reduces the cost of electricity 30-40%.Using solar energy also reduces greenhouse gas emissions. 1 sq. m of solar blinds can prevent the emission of 110 kg of CO2 per year. Even more greenhouse gas emissions can be avoided if energy is conserved through shading. Team SolarGaps received 50,000 euros as part of the Climate Innovation Vouchers project. This made it possible to develop a version of blinds for the individual consumer (B2C), as well as to certify the product for the European market. Today, Ukrainian solar-powered blinds are in demand all over the world, and the company is looking for opportunities to expand production to meet the growing demand.
