The award ceremony for the winners of the Climate Innovation Vouchers grant project will take place in Kyiv on September 23

11 Ukrainian companies became winners of the fourth wave of the final phase of the project "Climate Innovation Vouchers" - the largest grant competition in Ukraine for innovators in the field of climate-friendly technologies.

Thanks to the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Union, these companies will receive a total of EUR 384,241 to develop and implement green innovations.

The official award ceremony will take place on September 23 2025 at Unit.City in Kyiv

This event will be a landmark: in addition to the award ceremony, it will present the results of eight years of Climate Innovation Vouchers in Ukraine, introduce leading grantees, and demonstrate the project's contribution to the development of Ukrainian cleantech.

To celebrate the achievement, the event will bring together ecosystem leaders, investors, donors, international partners, government officials, and diplomatic missions from several countries.

The award ceremony will include a panel discussion "Green innovations through war: how Ukraine is shaping Europe's climate future". It will be attended by Olena Pavlenko, President of DiXi Group Think Tank, Ryan Grant Little, a climate technology entrepreneur, investor, and author of the Another ClimateTech podcast, and other leading experts in the field of green innovation.

About the Climate Innovation Vouchers project

Grant competition "Climate Innovation Vouchers" (Climate Innovation Vouchers) are part of the program EBRD Climate Change Finance and Technology Transfer Center (FINTECC), which is supported by the EU within the initiative EU4CLIMATE. It has been implemented in Ukraine since 2017 NGO "Greencubator".

The competition supports Ukrainian small and medium-sized businesses that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiency and prevent climate change.

Winning companies can use the voucher to develop and implement green innovations at various stages of their business, from intellectual property protection and industrial prototype design to product certification and design of their production facilities. Grants of up to €50,000 cover 75% of the costs of the services claimed.

In 2024, the Climate Innovation Vouchers project became the national winner of the European Enterprise Promotion Awards for his contribution to the development of entrepreneurship in Ukraine and received an award at the European level in the nomination "Promoting Sustainable Transition".

The vouchers helped create key technologies that are at the heart of many Ukrainian green innovations. Among them. TOKA, GO TO-U, Ecofactor - leaders among operators of electric mobility solutions; S. Lab - is an industrial-scale producer of eco-friendly packaging; Frendt - solutions for precision farming; Releaf Paper - producers of paper from fallen leaves; The Good Plastic Company - innovative design solutions with recycled plastic panels, etc.

Since its launch in 2017, the Climate Innovation Vouchers have become Ukraine's largest grant competition for green innovations: more than fifty Ukrainian companies have received support for more than €2 million. In the final wave of the second phase, 11 more innovators will share about 400 thousand euros to develop climate-friendly technologies.
