Climate Innovation Vouchers: EUR 50,000 to support environmentally friendly Ukrainian companies.

06.04.2022

Until May 31, 2022, Ukrainian entrepreneurs can apply for a grant for the development or implementation of technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase energy efficiency, and prevent climate change.

From the very beginning of its establishment in Ukraine, Climate Innovation Vouchers aimed to support the development of companies that develop and implement environmentally friendly innovations. Nowadays, when treacherous aggression against our state continues, ecological enterprises need even more support. That is why it is so important right now to help companies that care about the "green" future of Ukraine.

The grant support program was created for small and medium-sized businesses that are registered private companies in Ukraine at least one year before applying for a grant and are ready for co-financing in the amount of 25% of the grant amount.

The winners of the grant competition can use the Climate Innovation Voucher to pay for the services necessary to improve or finalize the innovation and bring it to the market. For example, prototype design, certification, testing, patenting, development of IT components, marketing services, etc.

Projects are evaluated by an expert jury based on their level of innovation and realism of implementation, impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, ability to scale and adapt to different sectors, as well as market potential.

Since 2017, more than 30 companies have received Climate Innovation Vouchers worth almost 1,240,000 euros. These grants contributed to the implementation of bright innovative projects and their entry into world markets. Among the most prominent champions of Vouchers are Delfast — a manufacturer of electric bikes that entered the Guinness Book of Records, collected multimillion-dollar investments and received positive reviews from the world's media; Go To-U is a platform for managing charging stations for electric vehicles, which last year closed a round of investments with ABB EL Ventures and ABB Technology Ventures; The Good Plastic Company is a manufacturer of dimensional panels made of recycled plastic, which decorate the stores of such world-famous companies as Nike and Adidas; Prengi — a platform for managing the processes of maintenance of real estate objects, serving the needs of Ukrposhta, Novus, KFS, British American Tobacco; Enzym, the leading producer of yeast in Ukraine, etc.
