Lymansk is a horticulture farm in the South of Ukraine, re-inventing the way how agribusinesses start their aquaculture/fish farming projects.
Lymansk has combined aquaponic+aquaculture technology allowing growing fish and greens in a combined system. Instead of chemicals and chemical fertilizers, aquaponic farm absorbs the necessary elements from the water in the fish-growing pool, thus cleaning the water. Such a farm cuts the resources usage and reduces the carbon footprint of food production. Also, it prevents chemicals from entering the soil.
Under the Climate Innovation Voucher Lymansk has obtained the design documents for the aquaponic technology, that allowed the company to build and test the pilot aquafarm.
