Belarusian companies to receive EUR 200,000+ within the Climate Innovation Vouchers grant program
Upon completion of the first call round of the Climate Innovation Vouchers (CIV), the winners have been determined among representatives of Belarusian small and medium-sized businesses. The award ceremony will take place as a part of the Circular Economy: Opportunities and Benefits for SMEs webinar.
On 10 November, the winners of the first call round of the CIV program will be awarded by the representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and the EU. Among the winners are the top best companies, which will receive up to EUR 50,000 each. The total amount of the round is up to EUR 220,000.
The project was attended by companies that develop innovative solutions in the field of environmentally friendly technologies and climate. To win, their projects must be innovative for Belarus, have market potential, be scalable and competitive.
The grant money will be spent on engineering services, software development, and maintenance, etc.
Eighty-one companies applied for the voucher and ten of them were shortlisted. Their ideas range from building experimental eco-houses, developing electric bicycles, to the beneficial use of coffee pomace.
At the webinar, experts will talk about trends in the circular economy in the world and Belarus, consulting tools to support small and medium-sized businesses, investment instruments of the European Bank for Reconstruction. Speakers include Marius Brinzea, EBRD International Energy Efficiency and Environment Consultant, and some other European and Belarusian experts. The agenda can be found here.
